Hi techs, anyone having issues since updating to 8.5.3, everytime i click the menu while in the game it freezes and does nothing, similarly when the game ends with all the stats at the end does the same thing. everything else works as intended any help is appreicated.

It updated from ea games, i did try re run the update from the cnc bit within ra2

Best suggestion:
[edit: reply to Grant first, then read this]

Uninstall cncnet. Uninstall RA2
Restart PC
Install RA2

Open ra2. start a skirmish/campaign - test if the bug is still there
Do the same with YR

Then install cncnet
Repeat the RA2 & YR test.

Why do these things?

It's possible a Windows update has done something which is causing the issue. We've seen people with Windows Desktop Display Scaling have trouble clicking buttons, so perhaps windows has change a setting somewhere

It's possible RA2 has half updated itself and broken something

It's possible CnCNet has half updated itself and broken.
[This is possible]

However, given that windows, RA2, and CnCNet have ALL received updates since the game was updated, it's highly likely that one of them has done something

Doing the above will also give us a good idea of where the issue is - if it's the base game or CnCNet.

Oh, and I think EA will backup your saves, but you may wish to copy your "Saves" folder and put it somewhere and then copy it back in after you've uninstalled and reinstalled

Having said that, let us know which version of CnCNet you were using when you tried to update it. If you miss to many updates, the auto-updater won't work, and you have to download a fresh install of CnCNet fromt he website

i have resolved the issue by doing a repair in the ea games app, must have been a corrupted install/update
