Are you an innocent citizen just trying to get by? Are you looking for others who just want to survive? then join "Citizen" the guild for people who just want to live their best lives without harming others for no good reason.

We are citizens with no agendas and no vendettas who seek safety in numbers in a living and breathing world filled with acts of extreme kindness and violence.

There is only one rule: Never start the fight, but do your best to finish it.

I like the concept! You guys and Town Guard should be allies. Hope you get a good size guild. I seen some people post in PvP chat looking for non PK guilds. Good luck recruiting!

Thanks @tall knoll ! I hope so too! The goal is to create a safe-haven for people who don't want to engage actively in war while maintaining a neutral status. Partnering with Town Guard seems like it could be a good idea! Thanks for the suggestion 🙂

Do it big boys, love seeing new guilds pop up

We'll do our best! The concept is kind of a paradox though (neutral-minded pvpers) so we will see if there's enough demand.

@unkempt nimbus @tall knoll I appreciate the support. But it looks like until pvp changes a bit (e.g. at least 1 protected area for banking & crafting), the kind of players we are seeking simply do not stick around to join a guild.

In 3 days there hasn't been a single person expressing interest which I thing is a pretty solid signal.

It looks like the server right now is geared towards players who enjoy constant conflict and anything outside of that probably doesn't have a place right now.

I will definitely consider trying again if conditions change.

I appreciate the suggestion. We don't have a statistically significant number of members atm and it probably would not be a good fit for players who are neutral or anti-pk aligned.

#

It looks like Town Guards is the closest to what we were aiming for.

#

I believe new anti-pk guilds still have a chance. But there's no real place for neutral players.

There's a market for your folk. I see lots of people who would prefer exp over PvP during their current playtime. Enforcement of that is another story. If ya don't have training etc and skilled players to promote it can be really tough to keep morale up when the people who are there for the PvP show up.

There's no shame in paying for protection and I'm pretty sure the types of players ya are looking for will have the mats the pks don't farm because they are pvping.

Ya might be on to something with the waiting bit. Mats aren't your only currency either. Everyone knows the serfs talk amongst themselves. If the information they exchange is reliable, it has a value.

I think the main issue is that pk guilds treat new players like a piggy bank. Why bother farming mats when you can just sit back and farm new players at the bank and at crafting tables until they quit?

I suspect that people with a neutral approach who just wanna xp, gather, and do professions with added risk of being on a pvp server assume the most risk and heaviest penalty. Because they spend most of their time crafting and farming only to lose it all when they visit the bank or craft something.

While pk guilds can mostly ignore crafting and gathering by farming new players and the biggest risk they take is dying if they fail their assault.

I don't mind defending guild members or even hiring help. The problem is finding other ppl interested in this style of gameplay. And I believe most potential neutral players leave quickly after being farmed at bank and starter zones for a few hours.

#

They quickly realize that the risk reward ratio is skewed.

While pk guilds see the same skew and understand how rewarding it is to farm new players at the bank and in starter areas causing those guilds to proliferate

Yeah I think you're onto something there. I'm probably even guilty. I got a few kills and then got hooked. 3 days of PvP and I had maybe 45 brass bats, 120 bronze bars stack of gems and such. I didn't steal it all, I do harvesting when I PvP but not nearly that much. Someone was out there working. I tried not to kill people over and over unless they deserve it but I think you're right, the dmg has been done

Closing recruitment until casual play becomes viable. For example, atm its not feasible to craft without constantly losing all mats due to bank and crafting table campers and unfortunately existing player mechanisms don't mitigate that situation enough.
