i love kpop more than anything, things i would change is the hella toxic fans who think they own certain idols. they have their owns lives aswell and are just like us. i would wanna change the such strict expectations, idols deserve to live peacefully without having to worry about saesangs, haters, social media etc. theres many things i would want to change but kpop means alot to me :)
#why do u think kpop is good or bad? r there any things u would like to change abt the industry?

Kpop is great but really I just wish there was more originality in kpop where idols don't need companies to choose concepts, make songs and basically do anything to make them perfect and control them. Idols have to literally go through training just to do something they really love, I find it so annoying. And when they do get a chance to be an idol their company decides everything for them, barely any idols can do something for their own. If Idols could be more carefree, talked comfortable with fans, swore as much as they wanted, express their real emotions, make their own concepts and not live being controlled I'd be so happy
I would change their poor lifestyles with diets & extremely busy schedules. I’d also normalize a lot like dating & being openly lgbtq. I would also definitely love our idols to be more educated in terms of cultural appropriation and for companies to protect and treat their idols better!
Also, more creative freedom for groups!
I think the bad part of kpop is idols not having their own space and privacy and they cant see their family especially if the idols are not from korea and having strict diet and busy schedules and dating and the worst part is when ur a trainne you dont know when or if you will debut even if it takes 10yrs of training if u dont fit in to their standards you will just go back home or continue training and then history repeats itself
i feel we should give idols privacy
K-pop bad we should close the industry ||/j in case any dumb mod would ban me||
kpop is good especially when you watch k drama
I want the side of K-pop industry to change where the idols are first really educated before they start to like debut or sumn cuz they'll know what to do for fashion/lyrics/dances and not triggering people by culture appropriation. EVEN if it's their makeup artist who's doing everything, idols could let them know that ITS NOT RIGHT, and even when they make a mistake; I want their ignorance to also change. Example like when fans deserve an apology who got hurt by the idols action and not just ignore and apologise when they are asked abt it on spot. + Some of the companies need to be educated as well and be corrected on their ignorant attitude.
They should stop debuting idols below 16 and not allow idols below 14 to start training ESPECIALLY when they are foreign. It can cause serious damage to their mental health, being exposed to such a hateful and pressuring community at that age. Another thing I would change is the body standards. As someone with an ed (not recovered), it's really triggering to see idols going on diets when they are literally underweight. I get they're trying to maintain their figures so the fans love them, but they should understand that we love them for their talents, not their bodies (if a fan loves them for their body they're not a fan). If they're naturally skinny, great for them, just there's no need to diet, just eating normally. And if an idol gains weight, so what? For example, Jeongyeon from Twice gained a bit of weight, probably due to anxiety medication. Now many people fat-shamed her. Why do you think she had to go back on hiatus, then? Plus, those idols that are fat-shamed aren't even fat or overweight. They're HEALTHY. Not to mention the KBS. I just wish fans would enjoy the music and appreciate the talents, nothing else.
I also really hate when Stan’s/fans put other groups down. Like what u gonna get by putting them down or bringing your own group up? It’s not like they’re paying you to do that and what are u gonna get if they’re best at everything? Nothing.
Then comes the fans who talk about their groups achievements all the time. Like hello, I came here for the music, and sorry, even if the song has gotten many awards, I’m still not gonna listen to it if it doesn’t sound good.
Anyways that’s not really the industry but just the other side of the kpop community.
I Mean look at Netizen they have such a bad light for doxxing people and hacking others over opinons Like no...
I really like k-pop bc it's hive us a different vibe than pop and stuff like that. i don't really know how to explain it but i think yk guys what i mean. And i think what i would change would be those toxic k-pop stans that judge ppl or stuff like that when they don't listen to k-pop, or those who stan but the wrong way, like they're OBSSESED with them. Like the saseangs. They're the one that are making k-pop look weird or disgusting to ppl IMO.
And also those toxic k-pop stans that keeps judging group's clothes, songs etc and make dramas over nothing, like army yk?
K-pop is AWESOME! I'm am in love with it, coz they all are so talented with their dance, their voice, their raps, its SPOT ON, and i love it! And they all ahve such amazing visuals! Omg, I can't express how much i admired them. the ONE thing i would change, is basically what a lot of u guys are saying, the fandoms. The k-pop idols, put so much effort and work for us fans, and some fans, just show them such disrespect. Like, one time a fan cursed at Lisa at a fan meet, for blocking Jennie, like SERIOUSLY! And the fans go OVERLY crazy when they see their idols. for example. if the idol is in the airport, fans decide to cross over the barrier (whats it for then?🙄 ) and go to them, pushing the body guards around them, making the idols feel unsafe and attack, and this is by THEIR own FANS!!! No idol should feel this way. And fans need to CALM DOWN, idols are humans too🥺 also another thing is the diet stuff for the idols. It is cruel and not good for their bodies. It is unhealthy! lmao, i feel passionate about this topic, idk why tho😂 😭
k-pop is a very unique industry i don't want anybody to change
i love kpop industry but i would change one thing about them is they being able to date freely instead of hiding it i know i get it but i hope that could maybe change
For me, K-pop is unique and perfect, I just wish idols were better treated by agencies, and given the recognition they deserve.
kpop is AMAZINN but this trend of debuting literal CHILDREN needs to stop
whenever kpop companies see a attractive kid in school:
It’s good 👍 makes people happy.
Kpop is iconic and epic... I just dont appreciate the amount of toxic people, diets, etc in the industry, which hugely consists of minors who may not be strong enough to handle all the hate and pressure! Also their wadrobe compulsions are not comfortable and suitable for the heavy amount of dancing they are required to do. The next point is media websites that try so desperately to find out whats going in a kpop idol's life that they dont realise the boundaries they are overstepping to be ahead in the gossip game.
this question is so vague
K-Pop is very unique. I wouldn't change it at all. It stands out. Actually, I would change something the fan base. I wish we all supported each other to get K-pop more recognition not attack other groups of K-Pop. Even though BlackPink are the queens other groups are good too. Like Aespa.
I love kpop just i dont like someone pressuring our precious idols for diets and uncomfortable clothes i wish they could choose thier own clothes for themselves too just a lil change i want
One of the bad things in Kpop, and it goes with many other industries, is the media. How they pressure people from here and there is just tad ridiculous. The media themselves can turn into something of a monster, willing to invade someone's privacy just to get what they want. I also hate how some people tend to make it a competition between a group or two, or a solo artist to another, instead of it just being pure entertainment. We don't have that in the world of Jazz, Swing and Standards, everything is just subtle as a brandy.
The whole industry is kinda bad. If you are 1 gram to heavy you may not eat the whole day. The media is not making it any better. But if I could change 1 thing it's the K-Pop community. People are almost manhunting eachother because TWICE is better then BP or vice versa. I've never seen something in the metal scene. Ofc we have different opinions but when we are at a festival everyone is partying. Just enjoy the music with eachother 😄
you have a point nick and that's just how the whole industry is built upon on, it thrives on publicity and know its demographic quite well. This isn't present in the metal scene because bands and artists are not treated like celebrities for the most part and most people who do listen to metal couldn't give 2 cents on what they and other people are listening to so long as they enjoy it.
the things i would change is that idols are allowed to date and i would not allow heavy diets and give them comfortable clothes and not make them overwork
!! yes
The thing i would like to see changed is how like the pressure of haters and stuff should change. Along with social media becoming sich a big thing people are beleiving this on social media that never happened ig. Along with that they should have more freedom of clothing and kpop fan groups should stop attacking each other
And they shouldnt be controlled so much with there diet
I love kpop, but there are definitely some aspects I’d like to change (mistreatment, strict beauty standards, extreme diets, etc)
Same
I hate Kpop cuz of their slavery . They should probably stop the stupid control over the idols. It would have been better if all the Kpop grps leave Yg or any other agencies and do it without any agency's help. It will be hard at first but I'm sure the fans won't leave the idols for leaving the agencies
i think it's the best thing in the world, it's just heaven when u watch them
I hate the fact that they force so much control over their idols. I love their mv's and their fashion sense
i feel u hate blackpink
I love Blackpink. This topic is talking about kpop. I rlly don't understand how u jumped to that conclusion
@languid lotus
i mean
u saying stuff about kpop, abt snowdrop
dude, come on! I just didn't like snowdrop! did you expect me to like snowdrop just bc Jisoo is in it?
also, if u didn't see, I also said I loved their mv's and fashion sense
ah aight
Kpop is good but company should give idols more privacy and indipendence like let them date, fr they r also humans.
they are under contracts
And fans should stop hating other fandoms
Yeah i understand that
I love kpop, but also hate it at the same time. I’m tired of fanwars, over working idols, strict diets, Sasaengs, death threats, suicide, shipping in band members together (romantically), shipping in general, Dispatch, etc. Its just too much, and I hate it.
Yo, chill. Its like you’re one of those overprotective fans who only care about their favs.
This is soooo true
kpop has helped me alot in many ways, but yk the industry is as messed up as it can be. i love it, but people love teasing others about kpop to the fact that im embarrassed to talk abt it. i just hope kpop can be much more peaceful and happy.
It makes it even worse if u a male in western europe
its gonna be bad if ur a male, thats for sure. people love sterotypes
Mhm
Yesterday i got called gay again because i like BP. It's a fcking joke.....
no more ice cube dieting
kpop can get very toxic
kpop is good because it is a form of relaxation. if you feel stress from work or studies, music in general will help a lot to relieve it but of course in my opinion i think kpop is most effective personally
bad company managements(e.g cube)
toxic af army (13 y/o's)
sexualization of idols
literally children debuting
the tough overworking schedule
small but talented groups getting way too much less exposure (nugu groups)
like leeseo from ive literally debuted at 14 yrs old
and i think she started training at 12 yrs old
yep and seonyu debuting at 13 in class:y
dam
there are two others who're 14 in that group lol
bruh
i dont know whether to say they are legends or why would u do that
why would i do what
also they're from a quite controversial survival contest.
leeseo my idol
dive into ive
and yes the fact that shes studying while being an idol
damn
personally
u can listen to kpop while u study
bc its like idk
u get the vibes but u dont get the words
That's never gonna happen i guess. How sad it is
I am 13 tho
Not all 13 y/o are the same but it's a problem....
yup
it's like gaming communities some are a deep dark hole with toxic people in it. You are not gonna change that
k-pop in real is just amazing. Some like it and some don't, but just because you don't like it doesn't mean u should start hating, and that is what some people do, which is what i would like to change.
Tbh. I wish I could do that too. But also with LGTBQC+ hate, race hate etc. No more hate in the world
honeslty, its just the shipping and bad diets
kpop is good for music. only one thing which is to be improved ig, is, to correct the skinny idols, cz the ones which look skinny should hv a better body, we can see ribs and also its not gd to be skinny
kpop is very famous nowdays but there are some changes that shoudl be there like shipping constantly, rumors, keeping extreme diets, haters, dating publicly and so on...
first of all normalizing some things like different body types, complexion, weight gain, dating and other races and yea also the idols shouldn't be doing strict unhealthy diets
kpop is part of it's own culture. if u like the culture, then thas cool. but dont make it your personality 💀
Kpop is part of the South Korean Culture but I dont like most of it. So I prefer thinking that kpop is between good and bad side.
Yeahh
Yea there should be a minimum age like 16 or something, they’re like barely 15 and exposed to the media and such nonsense.
^^
its like asking a 16 year old to become the ceo of some big company
obvi its not that much (i was exaggerating)
but thats my point
do you actually think companies care though
They obvi don’t
that every band respects the other i mean the fans
tbh, i used to hate kpop and i found my (korean) nationality embarassing, but after exploring the true intentions of each group, i started to love their songs, and most importantly i learned to love myself and my nationality- now, im so proud of kpop and all the idols that contributed to this music genre because they really boosted Korea's reputation throught the entertainment industry and made it global <33
i just wish there was a rule that trainees can only debut at age 18+ or sth like that
kpop is good but there are alot of bad things like for example being told to be on a strict diet and thats steriotypical crap
the diet
the beauty standards
the no dating role
JAYWHYPEE SM WHYGEE CUBE I AM WATCHING YOU
get rid of crazy fans whho think they have the right to make comments on their favourite idols lifestyle. no more sasaengs and stop entertainment industries from treating their groups as stocks.
- treating them like objects, the horrible diets they place on them
ya
Kpop is good
But,
The slave contract
Mistreatment of idols
No freedom(Not allowed to date , smoke , drink , put tattoos , mention other idols etc.
Some companies like pnation are an exception.
god tier company tbh
thx
btw i subbed to your channel
tysm
np
exactly!!
Diet
Hight beauty standards
Dating not allowed
At the end of they day, if the group doesn’t make the company money the stock price falls and the company will stop investing into the group… if a groups not profitable, the company will know… unfortunately that’s just capitalism
kpop is good but....there is things that i don't like and that is kpop idols not eating, the fans disrespect for some kpop groups, the idols getting hate from some of the fans that are rude, stalking the idols, fans not giving the space when they go places etc
i believe kpop as a whole is good, but there are changes that need to be made such as favoritism and unhealthy parasocial relationships
idk but fuck beauty standards
Kpop I think is good in general. How the company treats the idols, need a change. I mean like so companies such as like pnation treats their artsists pretty well. But like the big 3 especially sm, not as such. Like you get the idols to go on so strict diets, and like they faint and stuff, thats not good. They make their idols so underweight. As I said, this doesnt include like all companies, just some. And the media, people shouldn't be comapring the artists with the korean beauty standards. Like for e.g, winter from aespa has a few acne/pimple spots on her face and ppl started bashing her. Like shes human tooo!!! I think people should start to know kpop idols arent not all perfect, and they are just humans like us too.
Yeah, and the fact that people praise them as “perfect” and “gods/goddesses” and “kings/queens” just annoys me further, like idols may read that stuff and think that that’s how they should always be, perfect and without flaws and it adds to the conception that idols are perfect humans
I love kpop it just hits diffrent listening it😩
