Class: Cook

The cook has the ability to... cook with what they loot throughout the open world. Then they can sell their dishes in a restaurant. Certain ingredients (bananas, nuggets, cakes, etc.) are of better quality than others (fud, burgers, etc.) while others are not recommended (cigarettes). Unlike the bartender, you need several ingredients to cook and an oven (think Breath of the Wild).

The gameplay loop is not about serving people food, but about intelligently chaining dishes together.

Gameplay: You must gather ingredients in nature and make the best possible combinations to create good food. Then you send it and the better it is, the more money and XP you earn. Good taste is not incremental but exponential, so it is more interesting to combine the best ingredients together rather than distributing them between dishes. Plus, the more good food you send in a row, the more combo you get that makes you earn more. So you are incentivized to seek out better and rarer ingredients.

I did. Still sounds like bartender with extra steps

it could add a fun cooking system though

if Matt did that I doubt it would be exclusive to this character though.

The bartender gameplay is about choosing which drink to give to which character. The cook is about to make the most perfect meals possible then sell them to a restaurant's sell-o-matic.

By your logic, the cannibal is a vampire with extra steps and the alien is a shapeshifter with extra steps.

The Cook is too similar to the Bartender compared to the Vampire and Cannibal.

The Vampire has a stealth focus, due to having "Camera-shy" allowing them to avoid cameras and their "Bite" Ability needing to be behind a living target. The Cannibal has a combat focus, due to having a strong melee weapon initially and "Cannibalize" Requiring dead victims, not living ones.

The Bartender and Cook, however, share a similar focus of gathering materials to give to someone else. The Cook's is just more complicated. Both the Cook and Bartender can just buy what they'd need or rob it from a fridge, making it much more apparent how similar they are.
