It'd be cool if chunks were used in multiple ways:
-
The SOR1 style with an easement on all sides for each building. Looks like a lot of less dense US cities.
-
A denser style where only chunks with front and rear access are used (no side doors). The side easements are trimmed off so that buildings share a wall. Their front doors are pointed toward the street. This creates a "row" effect that looks more like denser cities. The rows are occasionally interrupted by alleys.
The latter would make for a more organic-feeling urban environment. Alleys have their own architectural/tactical value, but they don't really exist in SOR1 and this could make it happen.
