A handful of potential classes revolving around the new road system.

Trucker: Comes with a freight truck. Main objective: deliver cargo.

Cab Driver: Comes with taxi. Delivers random people.

Bus Driver: Has a bus. Drives to X different stops.

Road Warrior: Has a sports car. Take down biker gangsters.

Biker Gangster: Has a motorcycle. Take down Road Warriors.

Road Rager: Has a crappy car. Kill other drivers with a car.

--

Traits:

Positive:
Speed Demon: Drive vehicles twice as fast.

Drift King: Can turn sharp corners without slowing down.

Bumper Car: Cars you drive can take more punishment.

Clown Compartment: Cars you drive can hold a bunch of people.

Fuel Efficient: (if you have gas as a mechanic) Driving uses less fuel.

Safe Driver: Cars avoid you when you get near.

Negative:
Gas guzzler: Driving uses more fuel.

Accident Prone: Cars are more likely to crash into you.

Cardboard Frame: Cars you drive take more damage.

Obnoxious Driver: Driving near NPCs will annoy them. Stay too long and they will start attacking you.

Honestly, the first 3 classes should be jobs rather than classes. Other than that it looks pretty fine.

Another idea for a few traits: Shakey hands - cars you drive will slighly turn a few degrees in different directions when in motion, making cars take more effort to control
Sunday driver - drive all cars slower (reach max acceleration slower, max speed is lowered by 10-20%, takes more damage from crashes over 30 miles per hour)
Speed demon - drive all cars faster (reach max acceleration quicker, max speed is raised by 10-15%, takes a bit less damage from crashes over 30 miles per hour)

Make shakey hands obtainable by drinking too much booze, please

Yes, make drunk driving, or driving on certain drugs harder

Nah, that'd be a separate debuff called "impaired" which there are different levels of that rise by taking different kinds and quantities of drugs and alcohol.
Impaired 1: slight Shakey hands.
Impaired 2: swerving slightly, screen shakes a little.
Impaired 3: swerving somewhat, screen spins a bit, camera keeps zooming in and out slightly
Absolutely wasted: swerving everywhere, screen looks like the nausea affect from Minecraft, camera zooms in and out constantly, vehicle randomly speeds and slows down
