Events channel forum

#events seems like a good spot for the new Forums feature, many of the posts there are a event entry and that's it, could encourage people that are interested in certain events to write on the forum post for more information and such and just generally have a cleaner more compact look to the entire thing

it was brought up in private chat that this may be difficult with the maximum of one week auto archive on forum channels

Sounds fair, I wonder if they'll bump that number up eventually, could be low for now since it's very early access

And is the auto archive based on activity or channel creation?
If based on channel creation, that's very limiting

If a Topic is being engaged with constantly, it will remain active.

Then at max there could be post bumps like on normal forums, but that sounds chaotic
Hope then they expand the time limit and in case enable admins to give a max for each forum channel or such, perhaps even set end dates possible

Like if there's gonna be an event in 8 days, the post to remain up for 9 days then get archived, ofc the one who posts would set this

how about a bot that refreshes the forums every week by posting and deleting a message?
