Here's some quick gameplay from the second sprint of my personal project, a top-down survival sandbox called SCAVVER, which I've been conceptualising since late January 2025, and working on and off from March 2025 to February 2026 before starting to actively develop the project from February 2026 onwards (It's gone through several drafts in that time). I was able to get more done in this sprint than I initially anticipated and I'm happy with the result. Feedback would be greatly appreciated.
The next sprint is the last sprint in pre-production. It'll focus on finalising the planning for art, programming and design. During sprint 3 not much will be done in engine. Although, I do hope to be able to show off a new level blockout. After the third sprint, the project will be moving into the vertical slice phase which I'm super excited for, as I will be adding a whole bunch of new content such as character art, environment art, a detailed level that can be played through start to finish, and much more.
