I’ve mostly worked on single-player projects in Unreal, with only a little multiplayer experience and pretty new to VR/MR networking.

That's fine. You need basic knowledge about networking which components are server owned and which will be client based.

You're running client owned (UI, camera or so) in server which works but on listen server owned pawn which is not ideal. I know it's overwhelming all I am saying at once
