curious how you're doing it.

Since you said "trace" I'm guessing you might be doing a line trace, and depending on the length of the trace, you use that to control the "wet" of the reverb.

No third party plugins. Only sounds I made with the default Unreal method.

There's reverb volumes in some areas just to add some depth, but reverb volumes alone don't sound good at all.

I am firing a few line traces above the player every time a bullet leaves the barrel. There's no fancy interpolation between the two, it just switches between 2 types of audio. One made for indoor, and one for outdoor. It works though.
