While #unreal-news is a great channel for staying informed, I feel that it would be more useful if it notified people via @ mentions. As such, I would like to request that a "News Notifications" role be created so that those who choose it can get pinged by the news bot.
Setting the channel to Notification Settings -> All Messages isn't a adequate solution as that only provides a desktop notification sound and not a persistent notification icon.
Similar roles exist in other discord servers, and from my knowledge it is fairly easy to implement.
