Hey, I was curious if there is or will be a channel where people experimenting with AI can chat about which are getting the best results? I've been using cursor to help with C++ as well as AI websites to generate 3D assets for prototyping from concept through to animations and would love to connect with others, but I don't see a channel specific to that

Sounds like something better left to a server dedicated to that sort of AI work.
This server is about Unreal Engine, not about how to use LLMs.
That would already kinda fit into #generative-ai
Thanks! This is what I am looking for!
Just a take but if Unreal Engine doesn't integrate AI AI into itself, it will get out competed over time. If Unreal embraces it and enables its developers to 10x, if not 100x their output, Unreal will remain top dog and out compete Unity and any other engine competitors. Seems like it's in everyone's best interest to adopt it
there's a bunch of 3rd party plugins for AI stuff, use them if you think that they boost your productivity....
UE already does, and without the backing of LLMs. There also isn't a single LLM out there that is close to 100xing a competent dev. Let alone 10xing.
Probably not even 2x a competent dev, tbh.
imho not even competing with an intermediate dev at all
they are a tool which can be used to assist, but that's it
We've been implementing a AI art pipeline that can create any object or character from concept to full 3d rig in game within 3 hours. The art isn't production ready but for prototyping and playtesting, we just shaved many several days and thousands of dollars
Not There yet, but eventually AI will get there, maybe 10 years, maybe 5, who knows 🤷♂️
on the coding and blueprints side. It's already saving 40% of dev time on C++ coding
Yeah - that is why the qualifier is "competent" though. And that isn't meant as a dig against anyone btw. But if you are really saving 40% dev time thanks to it AND you are competent in the domain - I'd say release this LLM and charge for it, because you're sitting on a gold mine.
Hmmm it would be valuable, I figure I can create a tutorial video and share it on YouTube for anyone to see? That way if it does work, everyone benefits. I'll see what I can do
