Is this some alternative discord client? Because discord by default forces lowercase, kebab case names hence the lack of the consistency

This is the default Android client. Lowercase is for channels IIRC.

That's all up to Discord, not us.
The Categories are actually all lower case when I check the settings. But they render differently based on what Discord coded into their apps.
Desktop App is all caps for example.

Weird, because I just tried on a server were I'm admin, and what's displayed on the mobile app is exactly what's in the settings. I can change the capitalization however I want.

I just tried it out and I changed one of my categories from kabob case to all lowercase. Desktop still showed all caps and android showed all lowercase.

@rotund hawk @mental patrol Aaaactually. I think it's not out of our control. At least not in all cases. I see the problem now. On Desktop, the Categories are always uppercase, so when we created them we just typed in stuff, lowercase, uppercase, mixed stuff.
But on Android/Mobile, it seems to use the actual text we wrote, without making it uppercase. That's why it looks so mixed up in OP's screenshot.
E.g. "General" vs "content creation".
