I’ve been making this project in the NvRTX 5.4.3 branch of Unreal. ReSTIR GI is being used in the screenshots. Ultimately this will become a horror game. The lighting doesn’t reflect this right now because it’s easier to work with bright lighting.
The project is based on the Japanese Aokigahara forest, and uses a real heightmap of the area, a real photo scanned ground texture from there, and the real trails in the forest.
