I often have general editor questions that don't fit within the specific categories, however asking questions in #ue5-general is almost pointless as people are almost always having long, involved conversations and questions are instantly lost in the scroll. It can be very frustrating and generally discourages me from asking any questions.

Could be that there is a permission mixup and general users can't. But they should be able to.

If questions are going to be lost in the scroll, certainly any active threads will be instantly lost and nobody will be able to chime in because everything is hidden inside a thread.

That's why I thought maybe a more general channel that is thread-only might be helpful? People's questions getting swallowed by other, long general conversations seems to be a big theme here in the feedback channel.

I think if you're using a phone or a tablet you probably aren't in a situation suitable to asking questions about code
