you should have a giant seagull that occasionally tries to snatch the hot dog for an antagonist
Perhaps the goal of the game is to get eaten.
somehow sausage-vault your way up onto someone's plate... but if you get too dirty they'll just throw you out
That's already the concept of I am bread, I want to go with something a bit different. But I'll keep that idea in mind!

My idea right now is that you are one of the many gallery pieces and you're trying to escape
women everywhere: "actually, we are against this use of jiggle physics too"
huh maybe you could alternate between rolling like a stick, and an inchworm, hmmm snake movement lol
at the end someone duct-tapes you on the museum wall because he thinks you're a masterpiece

I started learning Unreal 5 and game up with an idea : What if I made a sausage platformer, in 3D, inspired by games like Getting over it and I am bread? Introducing my new indie game : Weenie (Working title). Hopefully this ends up on Steam!

Quick announcement regarding the new build of the game. There's been a lot of tiny features and tweaks added so that the game resembles more and more the final product I've been envisioning.
Changelog
Added Camera mouse support (can be inverted)
Added Gamepad support
Added Audio SFX (placeholders, need improvement)
Added Main menu (wow!)
Improved physics and player controls
Added camera transition on jump pad
Camera fix on tight spaces

he slowly attaches things to his body to make body parts. Like roll in glue then googly eyes now you can see. Then arms like pencils or anything really.
well, im not sure about katamari hotdog
but if he had to faceplant to aquire googly eyes, or like mr potatoman ears, via raw physical trauma, as a puzzle sort of thing ..
i can imagine physicsy puzzles like to roll around in red white paint then fling yourself onto pollock canvases or something
@violet lintel is it just me or are you imagining something like stanley parables narrator, but its the audio tour, reactive to what your near, and increasingly concerned that there is a hotdog defacing art

Looking for feedback here. Gonna post on social media and wondering which gifs are the best to get people to come to try out the game!
I have several concerns:
- why is the end of each level not jumping into a hotdog bun?
- why don't you have the ability to squirt yourself with ketchup or mustard to power up?
- why are you like this?
Those are valid concerns
but as any good game developer I shall disregard them ๐
the first one, first row, and also the middle row, left and center ones seem the most polished
but thats mostly just not having a grid texture

going along the tightrope is good, though theres a bit of gif artifact towards the end
i kinda wish he could inchworm, or maybe slither
from a purely feels perspective i would say 2 where its launching and showing off the jump, 5 where its crossing the gap and gives a good show of the jiggle and maybe the one where it rolls underneath
Yeah I think the launching one looks cool, like more action oriented
although i feel like to be able to sell the game visually its missing something
just imagined the hole in the wall was like a 2 shape you had to lean into lol if that type of movement is even possible

the impact sounds are better idea tho
i feel like any game where youre controlling a food item it should on some level be messy or slightly gross for comedic effect
