but i need mine to fit the metahuman rig (and skeleton mesh that goes with it) perfectly
basically.. I've been thinking I'd rather find and buy an asset that does it rather than rigging it myself.. hence why i was asking you if it worked with the mh rig
If you just attach it to the same rig you are using from for example blender they will work together.

At 5 mins he shows how you can make one mesh follow another. The reason I dont want to do this for my armor is that my armor might need to be attached to different skeletal rigs
yeah I've attached static meshes to bones before but this is different.. two skeletal meshes need to behave in the same way to the same rig as they are overlapping
ooohh i see the arm armor seems rigged
and in that sense, even the helmet uses the rig
yea so both are rigged to the same rig in blender and then exported sepperate. Essentially both have the same rig when you import each of them and one can follow the other.
