Hey folks, here is a peek at a retro style project I have started. I have finally decided to crack down on this, as it seems to be a good shortish term project. Hope you guys like the style I'm going for. Scroll down to see updates!

I like how the shooting feels; very responsive.
Is this like a resident evil game?
perhaps you could include a "stress" meter, and if the stress is high, the crosshair bubble will increase in size, making it hard to aim.

Yeah it will be a game with similar vibes. I'm taking some inspiration from resident evil, silent hill, and parasite eve 2. I have a backstory and lore written and it will come out as i flesh out this idea a bit. I love the stress idea. I had thought about implementing something like that, but I was a little unsure how to approach it. I'm pretty sure something like that will make it into the game. Thanks a bunch!! I like how the shooting is coming along. The weapons have a weight value which influences the amount of lag it has, your max turning rate, and your ads time. For this project, I just mapped it to float curves. Worked out very well. For testing I just hit the + and - keys to change the weight.

Well, I decided to go ahead with added a mental health component. I was on the fence about it, but since it was specifically mentioned, I see now why it's a perfect fit for the game. It will affect the weapon accuracy, handling, reload time (possibly just adding a chance of reload failure), ads speed (or stability), and other stats and I come across them. Certain in game puzzles may be harder to accomplish with low mental stability. I haven't yet decided on the consequence for having 0 yet.

yup, those elements could work together.
Stamina refills itself?

Maybe the Stamina refresh rate is linked to the stability.
Zero stability means zero stamina refresh. (poor mobility)
