I mailed trademark@epicgames.com 6 months ago (and 2 weeks ago as well), sending the signed Agreement to obtain the rights to use the Unreal Logo title movie but no reply. I noticed we have @late raven here (I remember interacting with her during Blueprint challenge) but no one is replying on their email or on twitter. I'm really stuck with no direct communication. Can anyone help me? I suspect that recent layoffs might have hampered communication, hence I'm making this post here.
#Contacting Epic Games - Trademark Issue

This is feedback for this discord server. it is an unofficial server not connected to Epic whatsoever.
(so the answer is no)
I can't remember if you actually get an answer for that. I did that ages ago.
Then how do studios proceed? Like just Yolo it and use it anyways? Or don't use it?
Bcz I have seen some indie games use it
I mean you ultimately have to contact Epic before releasing iirc.
So at that point you will have to get that sorted anyway
Indeed that's what their webpage says
Worst case, if I do a final release, I will not include that title movie
You could always say you're going to use it and say that you will take their lack of response as tacit approval.
You also sent that email which you could use a proof I guess. But in the end Epic isn't really that picky. But I get that you want an answer to be sure.
Sadly no one here can really help. Pinging the Community Mods is also not really gonna do much.
I have similar questions about Epics unreal engine icons that they provide. It's used across several discord servers that are official recognized Unreal Chapters. The servers have modified the icon in so many interesting ways and there aren't any issues that I'm aware of. Epic trademark page says, to my understanding, "these are fair to use" but then concludes with a link to a PDF and an email related to getting approval. Hard to know if that step is necessary. Was hoping to read about others experience with using unreal engine icon.
