Info about the sample project is hard to find beyond the initial demo videos, and given that a lot of people will be migrating over from Unity a dedicated channel would be helpful.

We historically have not added channels for sample projects, however, I personally am not against the idea of creating a forum channel called #sampleprojects or something that would have staff created threads for each of the official content samples, so people can have conversations regarding them within their respective threads.
This would only add 1 channel to our server, and with the threads it'd add a decent amount of coverage.

agreed it would consolidate some of the questions people have about the sample projects too so if someone asks for an overview we can point them there

Yes good idea to have one channel for all sample projects. A common complaint I see in youtube comments, dev forum, etc. is that Epic releases these into the wild with little support or updates to current engine versions.

You're right that Epic just releases these samples without much support but we can't really do much about that.
Just wanted to mention this because many people get confused and think they're giving Epic feedback here but to do that you need to go on the official forums or make a bug report.

They do update some of the older samples sometimes, I try to keep my eye on them to see if something has been updated.
