Perhaps I missed it, but maybe a role so we can be alerted when there's an announcement, UE news, or an event. For instance, I just now noticed that there's a Q&A tomorrow morning I would like to attend, but only noticed it was happening by luck

You can set your Notifications to "All Messages" for just the Announcements channel.

If you would like to hear a ping when messages are made there.
