To be fair to everyone in regard to the origins of this project, I had originally planned on going with Unity for this until all hell broke loose, so here I am doing it in Unreal instead. With that out of the way, I got the idea from a game jam that I ultimately withdrew from to do a "neko people" take on a special forces setup for which I am also throwing in some Megaman, Golden Axe, Sailor Moon and Overwatch references into the character design process. In particular, I decided on a setup to where she has a bit of a telepathic sense on top of her normal senses (to where she can either use that ability to sense where attacks are going to land for a short duration, or for the purpose of special attacks that she formulates based on those of the sub bosses that she defeats en route to taking down the main villain). In any case, here's a preliminary look at her three main appearances (normal duty, scuba ops and hazmat protection) which will be dictated by the situation for each stage in the game.
