curious if we could get a channel for blockchain gaming of any sort. web 3 gaming, games integrating NFTs ect. i understand this topic is taboo in the gaming world but i think it would be a healthy idea to create a channel to openly invite these types of developers to feel welcome to openly discuss what they are working on and help each without feeling like they are being negatively judged. i think we could then openly see these types of games / development in realtime to be able to get a proper perspective on this type of game development and functionality and how it might also help others get ideas for their own games.

There's no built-in support for Web3 technologies in Unreal Engine so it really wouldn't make sense to discuss that in an Unreal Engine community Discord server (especially a dedicated channel).
If you did want to ask questions that related to both Web3 and UE I'd ask in #programmer-hangout or #lounge
Other than that I think you'd find more info going to a Web3 focused community anyway.

Past has shown often enough that NFTs and Blockchain stuff is redundant and in search of an actual problem. What NFTs and Blockchain offer for games can already be done without them for years. The way you word your request sounds exactly like one of those NFT pitches that are sketchy as hell.
There is no real need to see any form of perspective for this "type of game development".
So yeah, I'm subjectively very against this.
Also probably not worth arguing, cause you already have NFT stuff in your website.
