Heyo! I've previously done some work in UE on my indie games (eg. The Fantastic Kitty Rue and Mariposa and the Galaxy Man) but it was usually my programmer who would handle a lot of UE stuff (I'm the art lead of the group) but I've decided to dive deeper into UE5 for my next game project and learn more about environment art and lighting. This next project, Noiramore Academy, is set in a fantasy school for a race of unicorn people. It's inspired by the 1940s and as such is a sort of black-and-white style with some splashes of color. I'm also experimenting with stylized shaders and other ideas. I'm still getting the hang of lighting and materials in UE5 so this thread may be a mix of experimentation and my experiences with learning this stuff to get the result I want.
Over the past few months I've been working off and on on this history classroom test environment piece. I finally have imported it into UE5 to begin the lighting test process. More updates to come!
