#We could have a server guide like the Brackeys server has.

I just opened the Brackeys server (they are a Unity community) for the first time in years and came across this. We do have #unreal-faq, yes, but this seems a little bit more in-depth and would result in people finding answers to their (frequently encountered) problems on their own, potentially freeing up #ue5-general and other channels for problems that are more unique or tricky.

What do you guys think?

#

there's a ton of stuff in that sidebar, such as this:

Might not be a bad idea, with some pointers of "If you are experiencing problems with X, go to Y channel"

#

Is this a new system in Discord?

I like the idea of this, but wonder if it would actually be useful. People already have a hard time reading the rules when they join so I have to imagine an faq would get skipped too :P

I mean people who dont read arent gonna read it regardless of the system the info is displayed with, not much we can do to catch them

It's really nice and should be an improvement over our current welcome channels.

I love the resource channel feature.

looks like it'll be very handy

No avatars, no message bar, and they start from the top.

#

This feature even lets us add a few todo tasks for first-time members.

#

And a personalized welcome message, too.

#

I'm excited to set it up.
