dude i thought thats a real shot
That looks incredible! Also thought it was real at first sight 😄
@violet kettle would you mind giving some tips on render settings and other “hidden” settings you might have used for this? I’d really appreciate it!
References? Yes I had photos or she was in front of me
To be honest it’s a really simple setup with 3 lights, one is without shadows, the other two are area lights,
“Lighting is simple, not easy”
I used also a LUT and that’s about it i just movie rendered it in 2560x1440 jpeg sequence with default settings 🙂
But thank you so much 🙏🏻
The best tip i could give you is to always try to do a type of Rembrandt lighting on faces and to have the face side towards the camera be the one with shadows always, you’ll notice this is present in every movie or production as it gives the best looking result possible on faces
Another photo of her
Thank you very much for your tips, much appreciated 🙏
I guess I tend to complicate render settings and try to play around with it but it’s not necessary 😅 if you don’t mind me, I’ve also done something with Metahuman here: https://discord.com/channels/187217643009212416/1129686440335376404
But I feel like the quality isn’t as good as it can be, a bit of flickering with the shadows, that I couldn’t figure out how to fix :/
Actually yours is very good! I love it and yes the flickering lights are an issue, i mostly get away with it because my scene is much darker!
Thank you! And I see, so it’s actually more about the strong lights causing the flickering, hopefully I’ll find a way to manage that
I think it's the metahuman materials most likely, in another piece i was having big shadows flickering on hairs, something you usually don't see in regular unreal setups 🙂
