Why is not programmerSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS hangout i.e. in a plural form?
Consider to move it at the end of the "programming" section as it is not really so much of a WelpMe channel and ppl try to use it as such - say #cpp2
Maybe move it in "After hours" even?

Because singular generally works better for channel names in my experience.
I will consider this. It might be a good idea.
Maybe, but for now this seems too far removed from the purpose of the channel: a catch-all general discussion related to their respective categories.

Yeah. I still consider #artist-hangout and #programmer-hangout to be experiments, but as long as they are here, they will remain in their respective categories.

I could potentially see them ending up in General, but that's the only exception I can think of.

I think it'd be a great change. Too many people come in to #programmer-hangout wanting help that is more fitting of other channels, like #blueprint or #cpp, probably just because it's the first channel they see in the programming section.

Moving it to the bottom of the category does make sense to me.

What you need to do also is mvoe #blueprint below #verse so the channels are ordered by name length...

I make this suggestion in #programmer-hangout , then a couple hours later this post appears? thonking . Nah thanks for posting this I couldnt be arsed 🤣, def the right call to move to the bottom of the category stack imo. Nothing wrong with help requests in there, but only if the other channels are not suited, and will require people who dont know the server to at least glance at the other channels before posting in it
