While it’s still a relatively new system, common UI took a little getting used to and had a bit of a learning curve.

Currently the documentation surrounding common UI is rough, and the implementation inside of Lyra is super complex compared to what most people might need it for.

I think it would be beneficial to have a chat to discuss different implementations and to begin to form a shared pool of knowledge surrounding the system.

I know CommonUI is more or less an expansion of UMG but I think it might be helpful for those doing cross platform development or for those the just want to support gamepad inputs

CommonUI is an extension to UMG as you have identified, this alone for the time being is enough to have it remain in the #umg channel.

However, we decide to make a split in channels on a number of factors, one of those is frequency of that topic appearing in conversation and detracting significantly from the original channels purpose.

CommonUI does not fit this description, yet.
