nothing sucks more than asking a question then having it get passed up by a conversation that is happening. By using this style of thread you can easily label your questions with tags so people will know what it pertains to, as well as adding a tag of Answered if the question has been answered.

Isn't that what the epic forums are for?

This has been discussed and requested before, and had been tested and rejected. this discord isnt meant to substitute the official forums, but is an alternative for a different style of discussion and support.

If you want forums style support, thats what the forums that exist are for, no need for this discord to compete with that

Generally if you want a response, make sure the question is detailed with enough information to resolve, post in a relevant channel (not the very busy #ue5-general or informal #programmer-hangout , but rather #blueprint or #cpp , etc), and just be patient and ask again later when a conversation dies down. And make sure you have actually done your own research before asking. Usually questions arent answered if there isnt enough info provided (Helpers are not likely going to prompt you to provide important information), or if the question is answered in a single google search, or pertains to a basic function that the beginner tutorials discuss

There are so many people in this server that there is no way to guarantee or demand that everyone gets a reply to their message or question. It may very well be that the person who is willing and able to help you is currently not online, or lives in a different timezone etc. Waiting and asking again later, maybe in a different channel is the way to go. Emphasis on "waiting"! Otherwise it may be deemed as spam or cross-posting :)
