I often see questions such as “How do I revert changes I made in the project?” or “How do I collaborate with my friends/etc?” or even “How do I back up my project?” (note: version control generally isn’t primarily used for backups alone). While Unreal Engine doesn’t have these features built-in, it’s very easy to get said features using version control.

I have written a guide to help you with version control stuff and how to set a system up with Unreal Engine. [This guide uses GitHub Desktop]. If you're interested, please check it out and of course, feedback is always welcome. Thanks!

Started to read this, but when I go to Revision Control Login box, even after installing GiT desktop I do not have anything in C:/Program Files. I tried to search but nothing came up. I do have GiT Desktop thou because it's open. I found the desktop exe in my users folder, but that didn't work either? The error UE5.2 gives me is that I need Git installed and specify the exe file?
