Simple idea with strong visuals. Basically the idea came from boredom and learning process on how to create environment by creating same thing over and over again. No story yet, but spooky vibes all around 😼 🔪
Inspired by The Quarry, Alan Wake.

A dark place. Portals to the past, mirrors that reflect, ghosts that follow and creep through the shadows, nuns that keep you sane but also turn evil. Everything inbetween.
As you wander through the woods you see these reflections, actually you see them everywhere. It's part of The Darkness. It's part of The Unknown. Was it something that you s...
Since I'm making couple of horror games the ideas might follow along each of it.
These videos fit the visuals and vibe.
This one is more like open world instead of classic haunted house, rooms.
Looks spooky. Interesting stuff. I've released one horror game myself. They're very fun to make!
Thanks! Indeed they are. Probably one of the most beginner friendly genre, but also most advanced. In the sea of copy paste clones and devs who don't care about games, horror games are like fresh sip of water. Even though horror games at times can feel like copy paste too, but it takes to make one and then you can reuse the same elements or ideas with a twist.
The idea execution process and throwing the scare, jumpscare is probably the hardest. You know the way it should feel and look, you want to make it look even scarier and then you start thinking what exactly makes horror games horror and how to make it.
I guess it's the atmosphere and not jumpscares that make the game. If you feel the vibes by simply walking around or looking at pictures then it's a certified banger in the making.
or this these kind of starting points
when it's too open and you can see the cabin early on it feels too empty
testing
basically you get spawned on silent hill street and shit is about to go down
no idea why there are those weird color rings on the screen, must be something in adobe premiere export quality settings
these vibes are spot on
thx
can't get cinematic sequencer working so I'm just recording the screen lol
if anyone know how to fix it let me know
i'm using horror engine
when I export sequencer video it has death effect on it from horror engine, seems like camera is falling into the ground and you just die
Small update, basically you're a writer that gets lost in the storm and suddenly finds a portal in the middle of the sea.
small update, nothing much just some ideas for level design, probably will build further this environment
Stay tuned! Something is coming soon 😎
Seems intresting keep it going 👀
Year went by and honestly I am stuck in a limbo. If anyone is interested in collaboration let me know. I'm also in process of shooting short horror, mystic film. Lots of ideas and variations. No budget, it's all for fun just to release first game, demo, movie.
