#[Request] Systems Design Channel

I'd like to propose a channel dedicated to questions about how to design systems, wiring them up and best practices. One of the most difficult things I've struggled with is gaining expertise about the "proper" (or at least not obviously wrong) way to do things. This might be difficult to moderate, because it involves a higher level of abstraction discussing use of all unreal's systems together, but I feel it would bridge a gap in knowledge here, and help nearly everyone.

I don't feel there's an existing channel that's appropriate, or comfortable to discuss these sorts of things. The more involved topics tend to get drowned out, especially in bp, or cpp, or general. My 2cents.

PS. This discord server is amazing, thank you to everyone.

Its purpose was as you describe however it never achieved that due to people completely misunderstanding it.

#

We decided to retire the channel as the discussions taking place their were typical of other channels and not related to design.

#

It is doubtful we would be able to bring it back and not have it result in the same issues.

We should even archive #level-design and create specific channels that used for level design in UE.

See my post named "I think level design channel should be archived"

Anything related "design" causes people to misunderstand what it is about and go insanely wild about off-topic questions
