You can usually freeze boundaries in most remeshers, or at least make it try to fit them. But yeah, that looks a bit more uniform and should help a lot for culling

With Nanite, and all? I think I found an option, with keep shape or what it was in UE5's remesher that does it.

Yeah that's usually along the lines of terminology, that or something like "preserve volume"

Long tris on tons of small meshes+nanite can quickly explode overdraw and negate a lot of the performance benefits to nanite, so just always keep triangle uniformity in mind

Especially if alpha masking is involved

Yeah. I thought I'd read that somewhere. Glad I found UE5's built in remesh stuff, seems to work pretty good

They're definitely slowly adding in a good majority of "go-to" tools into the engine, which is always awesome. The back and forth between DCCs can be annoying
