I considered using it myself at one point whilst I was working on the widget theme plugin. I wanted to have some kind og custom graph for templates but then I figured I didn't need it. Instead I made a little workaround by creating a new class and extending the UMG from it. Then my plugin could read which UMG had the class and know to treat widgets inside it as a template. Saved a load of hassle.

I dont mind time limited skins, the TF2 Halloween stuff only being activated over the holiday is a nice touch but when it feels like gouging it usually is
There are some legit reasons to remove content, Ive seen some older TF2 items which mess up with newer ones or they arnt as detailed with animations. It wouldnt be hard to update it to the new system but that does take some effort, removal might be a good temporary solution.
Especially since the systems and art constraints on these types of projects evolve over time but from a gameplay perspective it can seem lazy to just remove a contentious item rather than fix it

a grinding game like Destiny tho is about the items for gameplay, not specifically for cosmetics. So you played for years in PVP with a specific gun, you spent months getting it, you learned to master it. Now they take it away. I can't handle that idea. I have items in Path of Exile from 7 years ago. They are legacy items now which means they only exist in the standard league. I'm fine with that because the leagues always start anew with fresh gear anyway, but I always have standard if the league is boring. In D2 they will have "historic content" you can use the guns on, but nobody wants thats. Nobody.

Also, just having NINTENDO on the package of your game has already gained you a huge deal of trust from the consumer. There are certainly exceptions, but being on a console most of the time means fans don't have to worry that you game is a scam asset flip or something, which is common on PC.
I would pay 30% in an instant for all the upsides that come with being on a console. The trust that comes with it, the decrease in piracy of your game, the marketing that comes with just being a console game... which isn't much in and of itself, but a hell of a lot more than what you get from Valve.

iClone now has a dedicated Unreal Engine importer plugin that looks highly developed to me. Haven't tried it yet myself though.

Characte Creator and iClone can transfer back and forth to Zbrush without losing anything as well.
So it certainly isn't exporting triangles, because Zbrush would explode...

yeah unfortunately sometimes you get stuck into the professional workflows even if you want something more light weight

The key is if you are using an iClone/Character Creator model in Zbrush is to not change the topology. You can add all the subdivisions you like, but don't cut a hole in the mesh or something.
As long as you do that, no matter what you change in Zbrush will not break your skinning and animation.
Seems like a very integrated pipeline to me, but I haven't tried it yet. Just been researching.
