Id actually like this obsolete idea that you have to be employed disappeared, especially the 9-5. Only need to look at COVID 19 where the idea you have to cook at home has spooked people
And the same goes with money.
Someone who is used to earning say $5m is going to feel like a failure if their next jobs makes them $3m
Even though both are objectively very good salaries.
Companies also exist and stay alive because they make as much money as they can.
Decent profit margins are a nice ideal, but all it takes is a hiccup in the economy and the decent profit margin is gone. Once that's gone, you run on the fumes of whatever warchest you built.
And if you're out of cash, either you make people redundant and try to survive or close up.

something will always bottleneck, it's the nature of systems with multiple components. You can't not bottleneck on something

The 1080GTX can clearly do better at higher resolutions but its not going to go slower at a lower resolution, it wont just throw its hands up and go welp theres not enough work so Im packing it in for the day
You'll get higher framerates if its not capped, at worst your card just wont heat up as much

I have a pre~rigged naked character made in 3dmax (has blender version too), I made cloth using MD and export as fbx file. I use 3dsmax to import the cloth and fit on the character. Then I hide the cloth. Export the character to UE4, everything is great. Then I hide the character in 3dsmax and try to export the cloth with the rig and bones together, when I try to import in UE4 it keeps saying merge bones failed that it doesn't have same bone structure. Any thought? What's the right way to do it. Because I need to do master pose component after. Many thanks

is root your root bone or is your root bone the file name?
If you incremented the file name or changed it and the root bones name change the skeletons will be incompatible
The skeletal structure has to be absolutely identical

Just check the skeletal structures in your FBX vs the UE4 one youre exporting to
they will more than likely be different in some way hence the error

Yeah Ive had similar issues before, not everyone uses the same structure for bones, some people add a name above root to allow for multiple skeletons in a single file in Max
if you try to use 2 skeletons with roots named root it'll overwrite not make a clone

I use only the character skeleton, that's why I open it in 3dsmax then I add the garment fbx as static mesh onto the character
I see that the fbx of garment I exported using the same character bones appears to be a bit different. So must be some sort of export setting issue? What do you think?

I think if you export them into the same FBX but make sure not to combine meshes (in UE4 import settings) you'll get two skeletal meshes in UE4 using the same skeleton

Hmmm I think the program is that even though I imported the cloth into the character file... It is not linked to the body of the character. That's why it doesn't export with the bone info at all... Because I now put the cloth on character and I export completely in one file. And after import into UE4, the character is still naked.. @pearl elk

you'll have to link the second skeletal mesh to the primary character one
