@fringe sundial I was checking for any mentions of my plugin and saw the conversation you had with Stranger. That dude is super toxic, not sure what his deal is. I thought he was joking about false advertising when I said my locomotion plugin is multi-threaded and replicated and suggested I'm insinuating I've added them (as opposed to being in the engine) when its clear that I'm pointing out that I've utilized them properly by saying "MoveIt is multi-threaded and fully net predicted". Maybe it didn't occur to me that people aren't aware animation can run multithreaded and most MP assets don't utilize it, or that there is actual work involved in ensuring that prediction isn't circumvented / is implemented properly when building multiplayer movement for CMC and Stranger just learned that or something - I really have no idea. His behaviour is strange, though. It was quite a shock to find out he was being serious and he was extremely angry about it and I'm not sure why.
For me, it was the shortest and clearest way possible of saying "I built this thing properly, the way Epic intended and with the tools they provided" without making the video even longer lol

Hello, I have a problem. I wanted to use quickel on UE4, but when I use the "livelink" plugin, I get this error when importing : "No smoothing group information was found in this FBX scene. Please make sure to enable the 'Export Smoothing Groups' option in the FBX Exporter plug-in before exporting the file. Even for tools that don't support smoothing groups, the FBX Exporter will generate appropriate smoothing data at export-time so that correct vertex normals can be inferred while importing." PLZZ HELP

I wouldn't ignore it, as it can give shading artifacts without it, but then its simple to export/reimport and fix it

If he's importing normals and the other data (as is default setting iirc), then you would get correct shading by virtue of just using the same normals as in 3d editor
It would only start messing up if the model had no normal data in it or you turned that option off (or maybe never turned it on)

They may even attempt to request buying it OR licensing. licensing means YOU still own the IP, but they PAY YOU to use it from time to time under conditions that are agreed upon

With Qix Mix you can quickly edit any of your Megascan textures to fit into the art style of your game. You can quickly go from photo scanned looking to fake hand painted look.
