I did figure out a neat trick for some items though. I can just duplicate sections of the rigged body and separate into its own mesh and it copies the weights from the character as well so no need to paint. It even works out the correct weights for anything I extrude off of the part which is awesome because I suck and weight painting

I've had great luck with logitech mechanicals. I've had the G710+ for about 6 years, maybe more and still going strong. Not too noisy either. I got my son a G910 Orion Spark and he loves it. More features than mine even

hey loungers, if anyone was there, i was having issues with UE4.25 crashing whenever i attempted to paint materials on a landscape layer although i have everything setup correctly, imo. anyway im pretty sure the constant crashes when i went to paint the landscape layers was because i was using material shaders that dont yer support ray tracing and the little simple shaders i was building didnt support it. I dont understand ray tracing but having ray tracing enabled was likely causing the crashes when i painted the materials on the landscape layers. im not insinuating ray tracing doesnt work. im saying i dont think it works well with just any material shader. but im a green dev so if anyone can shed more light on ray tracing for me in barney terms to get me started hit me up. at this point i am going to disable ray tracing until i undertsnad it better, but so far i havent crashed due to painting materials. i might though hahaha lets see

@mild root there are a great many blender addons on gumroad and blendermarket, but i dont think there is anything like that. try your luck searching those markets
@mild root i fancy myself a decent blender artist and i personally do not block out levels in blender i do that in engine with things ive made or are part of my toolset. but your indie workflow is completely up to you.
i use houdini to work procedurally, i use blender to work directly, and all level blockouts happen in engine so i can move to the next phase more smoothly and quickly.
