@zinc matrix Yes, you would think so. It turned out that there was one case that led to the entire preceding code to get skipped. To make it worse, that one case only happened when you had ran it a few times, so whenever I ran through once with the debugger it never happened. Thus, the IF ELSE worked, it just ran through the entire code and hit the IF part, then the state got corrupted and none of the code executed before the IF ELSE, and the default behaviour is that ELSE should run.
No prints being reached after the first runthrough, thus it SEEMED as if both executed. TL;DR, It was not C++ or my computer that was wrong, it was me all along. As usual. ๐

When I left school I went to a youth employment scheme. The lady who ran it had no clue and was just there for show mostly. She kept telling people she had a degree. Later found out the degree was in floristry. So she noticed I was good with computers and had me do all her work for her. Excel, word processing etc. It got me out of the lamebrain work they gave us though so it was all good.
True story, the other lady who worked with us was Helen Baxendale's (british actress) mother. She hated me at first, but we went on a drive together and she realised I was actually not a bellend. Then later that week she brought in a collection of old records as a gift to me.

Pretty much the same. They left me alone in school for the most part. I got accused of cheating on a bunch of tests and was forced to retake them all and then was put into all honors classes overnight. I withdrew not too long after that.
Public school was like that for me though from the start. I got accused of cheating on things as early as the third grade. I hated all teachers after that.

I retook my maths qualifications because I had a troubled life at school. So I was grinding away but had an issue figuring out a couple of issues. The math tutor was getting angry with me. So he went off to get a coffee or have a tug or something, I dunno, but whilst he was gone it finally clicked. So I moved onto algebra and trigonometry. But I had been using it for years already so was fluent. He came back and said "The next bit is tough, so if you need any help let me know". I said "I finished that bit already" and he looked like a sitcom cliche. It was one of the satisfying moments of my life ๐

I think thats abit of a gotcha some writers do is they give up too much information about the character but people dont do that, they give up pieces of themselves in dribs and drabs. Saving Private Ryan for instance no one knows what Tom Hanks character did before the war
Eventually you find out and it makes that whole section of dialogue worthwhile not boring because youre finally getting what you been waiting for. I think Quentin Tarantino falls in that trap sometimes, his characters sometimes let too much go in monologues rather than playing their cards closer to their chest
Reservoir Dogs is bit better like that and Pulp Fiction but by Django theyre just spillin the beans left and right

Avatar was a huge disappointment to me. I expected a Cameron movie, and got one, but not the one I expected. It was terrible except for maybe 2 scenes.

Prometheus has some okay stuff, I love the blood and the new aliens, Aliens Covenant I actually like in some ways abit more just no the flute tardery

I started a prototype for a VR game that spoofed movies like Robocop and other 80's sci-fi classic. I got the general gameplay down, and put it in storage until I had money. The money never came though. It was gonna be awesome imo.
I had a bit similar to the new Robocop scene where he sees himself for the first time, but instead of the "lose the arm" scene, I had a "save the testicle" scene so he had one bollock hanging down. I wasn't sure if to use it but it was that kind of stupid humour.

I tend to miss a lot of anime as its not my goto choice. But I don't mind it. Ghibli stuff in particular always astounds me in it's storytelling. Like the way Final Fantasy can do. Just a random story but hooks you every step of the way

Yes, in the game there are points of interest that the player puts down and they create a network that I want to visualize using these lines to help the player see what they are doing.
Let us say that I have 4, A, B, C and D, and I place them in a square where each only has a connection to the next, with D pointing to A, then the result should be drawing a square.

first you take an array of the vector locations. Then you sort it from nearest to furthest in order. Then you have options. You could take the built in cylinder, scale it, then set the forward vector to the direction between point 0 and point 1. Then scale it along the normal direction. Rinse, repeat for the rest of the array
or something like that... like I say, you have options. You could come up with a better system
