Because price is a function mainly about demand and not distance. That being said, you can consistently fly from Toronto to Vancouver for around $300

Smaller cities are more expensive bc there are less demand for them

they get their money back by the sheer volume of people that they can pack in one plane and how frequent they can fly there as full as possible

My personal tips 1: Although the venue has a no backpack policy you usually can still bring a small drawstring bag (that's what I usually do). I bring it just in case I buy merch at the venue.

3: I usually wear shoes that are pretty beat up because if I go in the crowd and there's a mosh pit I won't have to worry about getting stepped on. I think if you plan to be in the crowd prepare for the possibility of being pushed around a little bit lol

However in my experience Porter fans at concerts are SO nice and considerate
