I have to manually uninstall and reinstall the app and it's getting very annoying.

Next time try autoddu before reinstalling

(You'll need to reinstall after you use autoddu since by default it gives you the old GFE)

Use the manual version. Use the default settings, select GPU then NVIDIA, clean and restart. Then reinstall the newest driver and NVIDIA app. While installing drivers, do not let it install GeForce Experience

You can download NVIDIA App here and the latest drivers here. Some features in the NVIDIA App require you to be in a newer driver.

GeForce Experience is no longer receiving feature updates or bug fixes, so if you encounter any issues opening GFE, try replacing it with the NVIDIA App.

If you need to go back to GFE either because of an issue with the App or you prefer the old UI, the last version of GFE can be downloaded here.

I reinstalled the driver and I don't get the BSOD when restarting anymore but shadowplay now refuses to record
