  • How are you measuring "delay"?
  • Performing scaling on your monitor is usually faster
  • Switching to your monitor's native resolution will also be faster (as there won't be any scaling necessary)

it might not have anythignmg to do with delay. idk really hehe. so anyway, are there any settings to use for a better experience? ๐Ÿ˜„

#

soo scaling should be on monitor instead of "GPU". any advice on what to put the first setting on? ๐Ÿ˜„

#

im using gpu scaling for stretched res. been told it is "better" but idk

I've heard countless people say that stretched resolution is "better" or "feels" faster, but there's never been any actual evidence there.
I can see how there may be improvements, but we're talking microseconds either way

yeah true. stretched res for me is mainly because i like the look of it xd

That's fine then, do what you wanna do after all. I just don't really see the point in buying an expensive GPU just to run your games at lowest settings & resolutions, getting thousands of frames per second you're not seeing anyways

that is also true. i only play "competetive" games. so quality and looks is not something i really care about ๐Ÿ˜„

sorry for taking up your time, but did you have any advice on which scaling mode i shoulde use. I also have a 2nd monitor and i alt tab often, and would love to skip the "long" black screen inbetween the alt tabs

Make sure your fullscreen applications are running at the same resolution you have configured in Windows

Scaling mode doesn't have anything to do with that really, just controls what happens while you have your game open
