#Guess who's driver keeps crashing even after disabling XMP?

Me again. Still having the issue where my PC blacks out and it starts sounding like a jet engine...ive been assuming its a GPU issue, but it's still happening a lot now and it's really pissing me off rn. All I've been doing is flicking the power switch off and on again so it can stop.

CPU: R7 5800x3D
GPU: RTX 4070
RAM: 32GB Ram (8x4)

Try either of the following.

  • Use only the RAM slots A2 and B2 (or the second and fourth from the CPU socket, assuming that socket is left to the RAM slots)
  • Downgrade the PCIe link speed of the x16 slot the video card is on to 3.0
  • If using riser cable for video card: stop using it
