after reseating my gpu msi ventus x3 3080 it started having problems when under load particularly after running valley benchmark for about 10 minutes the screen turned black and I can still hear sounds from the benchmark but my screen said no display. My ethernet connected also seemed to disconnect and reconnect randomly. I have had problems with chromium based apps artifacting.

i decided to put a old 1030 into my pc and everything seems to be working fine.

Three unrelated problems. Let's deal with them one by one.

  • If this happens with any heavy load on the GPU, this is an easy warranty case. Contact MSI.

  • Check every network cable. On the router side, try a different port. Maybe also swap directions.
#
  • Known issue with Chromium and newer drivers. Live with it, or disable hardware acceleration in offending programs.
