I have an RTX 3070ti with a 3840x2400 resolution. Whenever i choose in game resolution and 60fps it records in 30fps instead (Res is fine). Also wanted to mention that when i record in 4k.. 60fps works fine but the resolution is recorded in 3456x2160. Is there any fixes for these? Many thanks

your display is higher than 4K in reality

#

(you'll notice that your display resolution got reduced by 10% to keep it within 3840x2160, and since you have a "taller" display, you end up with a slightly more narrow frame)

#

But this is really strange

#

it's supposed to support 8K encoding and recording

#

I think you should try OBS with hardware encode, and if it doesn't work, then software

@fallen notch yeah that's what I figured. I just reencode the videos in the right 4k resolution using avidemux.. it works like a charm but a little time consuming because of how big the video files are... I've used Nvidia NVENC HEVC in obs with QuickTime mov. as the recording format and I have frame problems at random moments but allot of the times it seems fine. I'd love to use obs again instead if i didn't get these random frame drops but i'm happy recording with Nvidia as I've never had any problem with it except for the resolution Thank you so much. Something else I wanted to mention is if I choose 8k recording it actually uses 3840x2160 but it's only with 30fps because 60fps isn't an option.

Apologize for the dust on my screen lol but these have been my obs settings

mov

Consider mp4 or mkv

Will give it a try, appreciate it 🤙

also your base resolution should be your actual game resolution, and output resolution the same as the final video resolution you should be getting

#

both are set to 3840x2160, which is smaller than 3840x2400

Yes that's true I just noticed that.. I had the base on 3840x2400 before but i happened to change it accidentally.. thanks for the heads up
