Do you know what network standard the Wi-Fi adapter is using for the connection? [In Task Manager, go to Performance, then click the Wi-Fi adapter you are using. This looks like 802.11ax, 802.11ac, 802.11n, etc.)

#

If the network standard says:
802.11ac, 802.11ax, anything not listed below:
You're basically in tip-top shape already if the signal is good enough. (Five bars? Is the reported speed at least 433 Mbps (right click the graph and click Details)? Try checking the speed and ping in speedtest.net for your actual speeds)

802.11n:
Tell me your router model.

802.11a (no other letters)/802.11b/802.11g:
Check for possible hardware misconfiguration. These standards are ancient!

OK, looks like your Wi-Fi is on a good standard. You're pretty much done already.

#

Is the ping acceptable?

#

(<=100ms)

#

(preferably <=50ms)

#

(ideally <= server tick if applicable)

#

Some things, you'll only know when you are actively playing the game.

#

being on 802.11n or earlier is very sucky. even in the best conditions, 2.4ghz is too congested

#

also, quite slow

#

so if something else needs the bandwidth, gg

#

802.11ac/ax on 5ghz or wifi 6e is a lot better
