Hi, I just installed the 531.18 drivers, and as usual my monitor turned grey-ish for a few seconds, usually it reverts back pretty quickly, but this time it didn't
does anyone know how i can fix this issue? my refresh rate's maxed out and my resolution matches my monitor's resolution

#

changing the dynamic range doesn't help

dark rapids
#

re-installing doesn't work either

#

Other people have had the same issue

#

And the solution does not work

#

Well if it is the driver issue

#

Go yo nvidia and file a report, meanwhile downgrade the driver and use it till they drop a fix

#

You can't fix stuff if the cause is a driver

aight

Bumb, It's almost been a month, Nvidia has released a new game ready driver and the issue is still not fixed

#

Switching to the Studio drivers is no longer an option, they apparently messed that up as well

#

my eyes are fooking bleeding monkaGIGA

You could try going going to change resolution tab inside nvcp and change output format from RGB to something else and apply

#

Then move it back to RGB and check if it's still washed out

#

Apart from that there's nothing really you could do except try and find possible fixes online or if it really is their driver wait for them to fix it as I said previously

None of these settings fix the issue, unfortunately.
I don't know If Nvidia is aware of this, so I guess I'll have to roll back my drivers

glad dirge
#

Yeah, change to ybcr

#

Apply and move it back to rgb and apply

dark rapids
#

I did, tried all of them and switched back to RGB, didn't help
tried changing the output dynamic range as well, that predictably made it worse

#

do you know where I can get previous drivers?
I can't seem to find them on the Nvidia drivers self service page

#

the latest ones are the only ones available

glad dirge
#

Can you go to color management, search it in windows search and aend a screenshot

dark rapids
#

sure

#

Can you go to device manager find monitors and expand it, then click view up on top and select show hidden devices

#

Click uninstall device on all of the entries that are present under monitors

#

If it asks you to remove the driver, check the little box and click uninstall

#

Restart your pc afterwards and check if there's any difference, would be good if you could later find your monitor website and download driver and color profile should be included as well

#

Is that a laptop?

dark rapids
#

Nope, it's a desktop PC, I'm using a Lenovo G24-10
some people have suggested toggling on and off HDR but my monitor doesn't even support it soooo yeh...

glad dirge
#

Ok, try the above then

dark rapids
#

alright, one sec

#

Didn't ask me to remove any driver, I'm restarting my PC now

#

Hm, the issue still persists
I've also tried manually installing the official Lenovo drivers for my monitor and apparently I already have the latest ones

glad dirge
#

Can you go to safe mode and check if the display is washed there as well

dark rapids
#

Just did, it's still washed out
But it's washed out every time I go in safe mode anyway, even before updating to 531.18

#

I'm gonna sleep now, I'll try to roll back the drivers tomorrow and see if that helps

glad dirge
#

The thing is that in safe mode your NVIDIA GPU drivers aren't used

dark rapids
#

Oo, makes sense
Well, Update: it worked, I rolled back to 528.49, I'm guessing it's an issue with all new Nvidia drivers, from what I can tell... I guess I'll keep using this driver until Nvidia rolls out a fix, Which I hope they will. I'll also report the issue

#

Do you have anything else you can plug the monitor to?

#

Including cable/satellite TV boxes

#

If it ends up having to use them

#

Since it happens in safe mode, where no driver influence should exist

#

Is it also washed out in the bios
