Explained in the link I sent
Ok.. can you try resizing the window a bit and see if that unfreezes it
If it happens again do it again.
That's a Windows bug, but I worked around it ages ago. Are you in Windows Insider out of curiosity?
AutoDDU will restart eventually so save stuff you have open
Nope, an error occurred. You have quite an interesting windows install. Python failed multiprocessing
How out of date was your windows installation?
That would've taken 10 minutes as it's like a 200mb update
Yeah that's a problem
And explains your issues.
Potentially both. The AutoDDU issues makes me think something is wrong with your windows installation since it failed at a Windows API.
As for the NVIDIA problems, NVIDIA recommends having I think 15-20gb free at any given time.
If you're getting a bigger SSD soon my recommendation would be to clean install windows on it when it gets here, that's likely to fix these problems.
- Make a Windows bootable USB
- Shutdown and disconnect all drives but that USB while connecting the new SSD
- Boot up with only the bootable USB and the new SSD.
- Install Windows on the new SSD
- Once installed and you confirmed everything works you can connect the old SSD and start moving only personal files. Don't move over program folders or anything you don't recognize, this risks carrying the problem over.
For information on how to install/reinstall Windows, keep your Windows license, making the USB bootable (from Windows, Linux or Android), and how to deal with partition errors while installing (such as GPT or EFI errors) please consult this Wiki entry: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1rd4KAPnXsgvSdgPj7uKjGo4_K_2b6fITMOsGE3R34P4/edit?usp=sharing

A 120gb hard drive?
Damn
Yes
Just make sure to include just personal files you reminded
Don't copy paste program data in there
My recommendation is this: get a 250gb or bigger SSD just for Windows installation. And then get another drive for games. This way when you run out of space it's a matter of adding drives and not reinstalling anything.
Clean install of windows done right (check wiki I sent) will be a clean install with nothing in it.
Correct. Windows will install one via windows updates, but it is best to grab it manually from NVIDIA's site.
That too if you have a laptop
Not used unless you have a monitor connected to the motherboard instead of the dgpu by accident.
