Guys I decided to play Minecraft with Kappa shaders (probably the best rt ones out there) and right after getting in my world I see that everything is lagging and I get 2 fps. I open the F3 menu and see that Minecraft is using my integrated GPU (AMD Radeon integrated graphics). I tried going into the NVidia control panel, finding javaw.exe (and java.exe) and making it to high performance gpu but it didnt work. Actually I had this problem with other games as well and it refuses to use it. I'm on windows 11, minecraft is on version 1.19.2 with the latest OptiFine release, 6GB allocated RAM. I have no idea how to make it use the rtx 3070 ti I have. Can someone help me please? I'm a first time NVidia user, and yes I'm on a laptop. For my whole life I have been using AMD GPUs, now finally I can experience the power of RTX. I can send a screenshot in the post if someone needs it but I doubt it will do anything because all you will see is what I explained.

#

it always has been like this

#

i havent edited any settings

#

i noticed lag after turning on the shaders

#

because i normally play without any

#

so there is no lag

#

and i didnt even know about this problem

#

and what setting exactly then?

#

i know but heavy graphics and shaders use the gpu

#

also minecraft changed its graphics library

#

and open GL uses gpu

#

ok i will make this clear, im not a 8 year old so please dont ask the dumbest questions you can think of

#

its always plugged in

#

rtx 3070, amd ryzen 7 6800H 16gb ddr5 4800mhz ram (dual stick)

#

1 tb ssd

#

i dont know the speeds but they are really high

#

i changed all possible settings in the nvidia control panel

#

yes

#

already tried it 3 times on different windows versions, first time on 11, then i downgraded to 10 and 3 days ago I updated to 11 again because I was hopeless

#

and drivers are up to date

#

windows is also up to date

#

what log?

#

k

#

give me a second tho

#

i think its deleted

#

i have razor cortex

#

it just deletes cache files and useless stuff

#

i cant find anything there

#

sadly i dont

#

yes

  1. rtx 3070 ti handles cod warzone on max graphics with rtx, it can definitely it can run even the most basic shaders
  2. the actual problem is not in windows or in my specs, minecraft uses my integrated gpu which is not powerful enough for this type of graphics
  3. already preinstalled windows 3 times as I said
  4. my fans are on performance (auto mode) this means they will turn on when the cpu or gpu go above 60 degrees and will go turbo mode when they reach 95 (or 70 for the gpu, also yes its normal for amd ryzen CPUs to go above 95)
#

no

#

i noticed it when i have shaders turned on

#

because my integrated gpu is powerful enough to handle the normal graphics without any modifications

#

and i get like 200 fps

#

which is good enough for me

#

and with shaders I get like 10 max

#

even on the most basic shaders

#

you dont understand me

#

the problem was always there

#

and my integrated gpu was always being used

#

but when using shaders it just cant handle it and lags a lot

#

that is what i meant

#

its not the first time

#

because there is no first time

#

it always has been like this since I bought this laptop

#

yes because the gpu cant handle them

#

bro what does wifi connection have to do with graphics and singleplayer, this pc was bought 3 months ago, as i said it has 1 tb storage and I only use like 150 gbs right now, minecraft is literally the only thing open except razor cortex, yes it is set to high priority

#

wifi has nothing to do with fps

#

fps is not equal to ping lag

#

thx
