Hi! I'm on Linux Mint 22.1 Cinnamon, using an RTX 2060 + i5-10400F with the NVIDIA 535 or 550 drivers (I've tested both). My problem is with Dota 2 – the game runs fine at 100–120 FPS for about 30–40 minutes, then suddenly drops to 20–25 FPS and stays that way until I restart the game. After restarting, it goes back to normal… and the cycle repeats.
This only happens in Dota 2. All other games (like CS2, Proton games, native Linux games) run completely fine.
Things I’ve already tried:
• Launch options: -vulkan_disable_pipeline_cache -vulkan_disable_steam_shader_cache
• Disabled shader pre-caching
• Used Flatpak and native Steam
• Tried Proton (for testing) – works great, but blocked by VAC
• MangoHUD shows normal temps and GPU usage
• No swap/memory issues
• No background processes spiking during the drops
#Dota 2 fps randomly drops to 20
