Have you looked at your logs for errors or FIXMEs. They could lead to maybe adding something from Wine tricks to fix it

Though I should have probably asked this sooner. What distro are you on? Do you have the latest mesa and drivers? Are you on Nvidia or AMD?

for me i used proton 7 and it worked fine on my side, shadows are a bit buggy but i barely noticed
